Azadirachta Indica / Nimbidin
Ayurvedic botanical with potent antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties. Contains nimbidin and nimbin which inhibit C. acnes and reduce prostaglandins responsible for inflammation. Also a natural sebum regulator. Particularly well-evidenced for acne and seborrheic dermatitis.
This ingredient works across the 1% line depending on formulation. The higher end of the range should sit above the line; very gentle starter products may use the lower end legitimately.
Topical extract 0.5–5% in formulated products (undiluted oil is too strong for facial use).
